Packed with advanced safety features

The Indian-spec Skoda Kodiaq is offered in a single diesel variant. It is the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TDI diesel unit that powers the Volkswagen Tiguan but in a slightly tuned state. It produces a maximum power output of 148 bhp between 3,400 to 4,000 revolutions per minute against a peak torque of 340 Nm. The engine is matched to a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. It is offered with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. It gets an optional Dynamic Chassis Control, which allows switching between engine modes, suspension and transmission. Moreover, the SUV comes with six different driving modes, which includes Comfort, Eco, Individual, Normal, Sport and Snow.
The new SUV from Skoda, Kodiaq, is likely to be on par in terms of mileage to most of its competitor. It claims of an economical fuel-efficiency of 16.25 kmpl, which is quite good for a premium SUV.
Superior braking and suspension system
The all-new Skoda Kodiaq is a premium SUV that manages to offer a superior safety and handling features for improved driveability. For efficient braking, the car is equipped with ventilated disc brakes on both the wheels. The disc brakes are accompanied by the anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to offer effective braking by equally distributing the braking power to both the wheels.
The suspension system of the SUV consists of a McPherson Suspension with lower triangular links at the front, while the rear of the car gets the multi-element axle with one longitudinal and three transverse links. Both the suspension units come with a torsion stabilizer, which helps in smooth riding experience on tough terrains.
